Blacks in Advanced-Additive Manufacturing (BiAM) is a non-profit organization founded by Professor Chukwuzubelu Ufodike committed to promoting, supporting, and inspiring individuals from underrepresented communities within the realm of Advanced Manufacturing (AM) and Additive Manufacturing Technology. BiAM strives to foster awareness, increase participation, and cultivate ownership in these transformative industries, aiming to create a more inclusive and diverse manufacturing ecosystem.

  • Nurture Academic Excellence: Support PhD students and professionals in their transition to faculty roles in academia. Our aim is to increase representation and leadership in the academic sector.
  • Promote Professional Representation: Ensure that underrepresented groups are well-represented in the workforce within the Advanced and Additive Manufacturing industries, at all levels of leadership and innovation.
  • Foster Awareness and Participation: Increase the involvement of diverse communities in Additive Manufacturing through outreach, mentorship, and educational programs, creating pathways to leadership and ownership within the industry.

Launch of the BiAM Mentorship Program
